The rising complexity of computer systems in recent years and the increasing competitive pressures magnify this challenge. Our task, as part of IBM Research, is to research and develop state of the art methodologies, technologies and software tools to aid the verification and validation teams in coping with these challenges. Our technologies are used as part of the development of leading edge hardware systems such as high end servers and supercomputers and are leading the industry and academy. We are looking for outstanding individuals that are able to perform advanced research, innovate and assume technical leadership roles in the advancement of verification technologies. Requirements: Candidates must have strong problem analysis and solving capabilities and sound algorithmic / theoretical background. Candidates must have good programming knowledge and experience. Candidates must have the ability to enter into new domains and assume technical leadership. Relevant academic or work skills in one of the following domains is required: Software engineering Computer architecture Algorithms and computer science theory Project management/leadership Deep knowledge of object-oriented software development is an advantage Education: M.A. / M.Sc. or higher degree in computer science or electrical engineering Outstanding B.A. / B.Sc. candidates with relevant experience can also apply.
