Group: משרות הייטק בין חברים, לפני שמתפרסמות בלוחות וחברות השמה Subject: Dell Israel is looking for Systems Engineer Nadav Alon posted a job: Dell Israel is looking for Systems Engineer "Dell IDC (Israel Design Center) is developing a high performance, highly available, highly scalable, fault tolerant clustered file-system which is used in several storage products aimed for the enterprise market. Most products include integration with other storage products in other development sites (mainly in the US). The IDC Solution & performance team is responsible to characterize system performance in various environments and system integration/certification with various 3rd party solutions. The team is providing the technical collateral supporting activities required for an outstanding product delivery. These activities include (but not limited to): 1. Perform required certifications with 3rd party solutions 2. Perform performance benchmarks. 3. Create collateral (white papers and best practices) 4. Document procedures to cover well known issues in support knowledgebase. 5. Prepare training material for new versions and train support engineers. 6. Assist with worldwide pre-sales activities related out our products. 7. Answer to field questions regarding product features/capabilities limitations. The ideal candidate will be an experienced tier-3 support/system engineer with system administration background and experienced with complex storage and network environments. The position is a full time position, and may require travel. The position requires fluent oral and written English. The candidate must be a great team player, self-managed, organized, enthusiastic and proactive. Educational Requirements: • Technical Academic degree – Advantage. • IDF technological units – Advantage. Work Experience: • At least 2 years of Linux tier-3 support experience • Strong IT/Solution QA background • Experience in storage administration, NFS/CIFS – big advantage. • Experience in mission critical/enterprise level/large scale systems – advantage. • Experience in authoring collateral such as white papers Technical Skills: • Great troubleshooting skills – a MUST. • Knowledge of Networking – a Must • Knowledge of Linux environments • Knowledge of storage.
