Nadav Alon has started a discussion: Dell Israel is looking for Senior SQL Server DBA "Established in 1999, the Dell Software Israel R&D Center (formerly Quest Software Israel) is entrusted with developing IT monitoring and diagnostics solutions as part of Dell’s product/solutions portfolio. DSGI (Dell Software Group Israel) employs a team of highly experienced engineers who invent and employ cutting edge technologies to build solutions that allow our customers to better exploit their hardware and software investments with special emphasis on databases. Senior SQL Server DBA will be primarily responsible for the design and support of our SQL-Server monitoring products. The right candidate will have skills to identify and outline new monitoring features in the SQL-Server front as well as support and enhance the existing solutions. The job requires intense work with various stakeholders such as the development team, support personnel and customers. Deep knowledge of the various SQL-Server technologies (engine, BI, etc) and with the ability to both design and implement monitoring solutions. Flexible hours needed to support world-wide customers. Educational Requirements: * BA/BSC or equivalent in computer science or computer engineering. * Master's Degree in computer science - Advantage. Work Experience: * 3+ years of proven experience as an active SQL Server DBA. * 5+ years of proven experience in the IT industry. * Lead the maintenance of Production MS SQL Database in a clustered highly available architecture. Technical Skills: * Installation & Configuration of SQL Server 2008/2012. * T-SQL Programming. * In depth understanding of SQL-Server feature set, internals and performance tuning. * Familiarity with Sybase – advantage. * Excellent team working skills, with the ability to work independently within the development teams. * Excellent English (spoken and written).
