The environment is fast paced and dynamic, requiring solid technical experience and the ability to quickly adapt to change. Required Experience and Skills • BA/BSc or equivalent with at least 3-5 years of software development experience. • Experience with Java Swing, including threading and events model, layouts, advanced component creation, i18n and keyboard support. • Knowledge of design patterns, especially UI-related. • Experience with Java multithreading and synchronization. • Familiarity with Windows and Linux based development. • Strong object oriented design skills, exposure to model based development. • Passion for writing high performance, quality code. • Ability to evaluate UI from a user perspective and match UX solutions for their needs. • Outstanding communication skills and high personal discipline. Advantages • Knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and server-side development - a definitive plus. • Experience with Swing (JIDE - a plus). • Experience with web technologies and frameworks - Tomcat, HTTP, JSON-RPC, Web Services. • Knowledge of build and CI frameworks - Maven, Hudson.
