Developing the architecture requirements and ensuring it is understood and followed by multi-cultural team members will be important for success. Team distribution will typically be mixed, with some members co-located and others virtual (onshore and offshore). Responsibilities • Provide detailed guidance and direction to teams responsible for the implementation of applications using the .Net Framework and SQL Server technologies. • Make architecture and technology level design decisions during various phases of a project. • Create technical documentation and artifacts to communicate the required architecture to various teams involved in a project. • Design and develop code for all application tiers, as needed. • Guide the technology direction by recommending and justifying specific technologies. • Identify opportunities for re-use. • Review existing projects for architectural soundness and make recommendations for improvement. • Mentor teams on best practices and processes. • Identify and ensure the training and development needs of team members are met. • Work closely with project manager, and account managers to ensure that client expectations are met and that project schedules and budgets are adhered to. • Participate in sales-related meetings with clients and potential clients to help articulate the technology vision and proposed solutions. Skills Requireds • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. • 7+ years of software development experience. • 3+ years’ experience as Senior Developer or Technical Team Lead using: o Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010 o .Net Framework 3.0/3.5/4.0 o C#, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON o SQL Server 2005/2008 database design and query optimization; Integration Services (SSIS); Reporting Services (SSRS) o Active Directory integration o Web Services o Version control • Leveraging Cloud related technologies as part of a comprehensive architectural approach • Technical expertise in high performance websites and web services, in a .Net/IIS environment, and performance tuning/scaling of such systems. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, in both technical and business terms. • Strong analytical skills for understanding both business and technical problems. • Structured, disciplined approach to work, and attention to detail. • Ability to work in a global, multicultural environment. • Ability to develop quick proof of concepts. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. • Any Microsoft or similar developer certifications will be a plus.
