Group: משרות הייטק בין חברים, לפני שמתפרסמות בלוחות וחברות השמה Subject: Dell Israel is looking for System Engineer Director Nadav Alon posted a job: Dell Israel is looking for System Engineer Director "Dell is developing the Fluid File System - a high performance, highly available, highly scalable, fault tolerant clustered file-system which is used in several storage products aimed for the enterprise market. The development and integration process is done in cooperation with the Dell development centers around the word. The system engineering group consists currently of 15 team members located in Israel and the US. The group is responsible for interdisciplinary functions across the FluidFS products. Those include the NAS system engineering and the eco-system engineering. As FluidFS system engineering director you’ll be responsible for: • Manage the escalated calls and follow up a full solution, patch, and integration cycle. • Be the Dell manager facing the customer on complex escalations and cases. • Review product MRDs and add supportability related items to future products. • Initiate, manage and conduct support and sales training sessions. • Manage and conduct customer beta plans and on-site inspection projects. • Provide technical info to queries from internal customers such as marketing, sales, support and integrating development teams. • Lead Dell FluidFS knowledge management and knowledge transfer efforts. • Manage and operate the FluidFS intranet forum. • Manage all security reviews, vulnerabilities and responses for FluidFS. • Lead performance efforts and inputs. • Provide internal and external FluidFS compatibility matrix. • Provide feature analysis on required features and competitive analysis from a technical perspective. • Provide support for application integrations. • Review maintenance release schedule and provide field input and priorities. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer with strong managerial and interdisciplinary background. Background in the storage or network industry is required. The candidate must be a great team player, proactive and enthusiastic about the Company, the product and the team. The position is a full time position, and may require travel. The position requires fluent oral and written English. Educational Requirements: • CS/ EE degree – A must. • MBA - Advantage • IDF technological units – Advantage. Work Experience: • At least 5 years of managerial position. • At least 3 years of hands on technical experience. • Experience in mission critical enterprise level customer facing positions – strong advantage.
